Snom 370 supports VPN

Sipcat VoIP Blog - Snom 370For some reason (most likely me being on holiday) I missed the announcement of Snom’s latest IP Phone, the 370. While I do not particularly like Snom phones, more precisely the way the large LCD is used and the myriad of buttons, they certainly are quality phones and offer features few phones do. The latest Snom, just raised the bar for the competition by adding a VPN layer into the phone.

Digium introduces PCI Express cards

Only two days ago, I was touting Sangoma for being the only one to release their telephony interface cards in the increasingly popular PCI Express format. It seems that at the same time, Digium was preparing their press release to introduce their new line of PCI Express cards to the world.

Sangoma introduces BRI card

Sangoma is one of the bigger players when it comes to WAN and voice interface cards. They are pretty popular with open source telephony projects such as Asterisk. One of the issues in the (mainly) European market is that BRI ISDN (as opposed to PRI ISDN) is very popular and few manufacturers provide compatible cards for it. Therefore BRI users, traditionally went for European manufacturers such as Junghanns and Beronet.
